You can set up your voicemail so that callers hear either the RingCentral default greeting or a custom greeting.

1. In the left navigation bar, click Settings > Phone.

2. Scroll down to Voicemail settings, then click Voicemail greeting.

3. Click the Voicemail greeting dropdown, then select:

  • Default: Incoming callers will hear the default voicemail message “Your call has been forwarded to the voicemail for [your name]..."
  • Custom: Click any of these three tabs:
    • Computer Microphone: Click the red Record button for a custom voicemail greeting. Click the button again when you’re finished recording.
    • Phone: Enter a phone number so the RingCentral system can call you to record a custom greeting.
    • Importing: Upload a WAV or MP3 file of your custom greeting.

4. Click the Save messages in dropdown, then select:

  • My voicemail box: Your voicemail messages will appear in your app’s inbox.
  • Another extension: Retrieve your voicemail messages by dialing a specific extension. Pick an extension in the popup window.

5. Click Save.
